Marina Hämmerle

Born in 1960 in Lustenau, Vorarlberg. Studied architecture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Since then, she has worked as a freelance architect and collaborated with a number of distinguished architectural firms up until 2005. A board member for various art and cultural associations, she carries out promotional and public relations work on architectural matters for the Vorarlberg branch of the Central Association of Architects (president, 2002–5) and the Vorarlberg Architecture Institute in Dornbirn (director, 2005–12). She plays an advisory role for the Austrian Architectural Foundation, giving input to the Council for Building Culture in the Federal Chancellery in Vienna (2009–12), and since 2010 she has been on the architectural advisory board for the Klaus municipality. Broad-ranging lecturing, journalistic, and curatorial activities and extensive involvement in jury panels, process design, and project development; since 2013, she has operated her own office for architectural concerns.
