Wolfgang Schmidinger

Born in 1962; lives in Schwarzenberg, Bregenzerwald. After training as a carpenter and passing his examination as a master craftsman, in 1986 he took over the family joinery from his father, Josef Schmidinger. In 1995, he established the company schmidinger modul gmbh as a means to market his own line of designer furniture. After being awarded the Austrian State Prize, he developed his own furniture collection in collaboration with a number of national and international designers.
Tischlerei Schmidinger and schmidinger modul gmbh merged in 2006 to become schmidinger möbelbau.
