Born in 1965 in Bludenz, Vorarlberg. Studied art history and law. Freelance art historian since 1991; 1998–2000, on the staff at the Federal Monuments Office in Salzburg; 2000–2011, director of the Montafon museums; since April 2011, director of the vorarlberg museum. Almost 300 publications on art and art history, as well as on folkloric and museological subjects.
